Based on its U.S. predecessor, the "Gratis Comic Tag" (Free Comic Book Day) takes place for the 6th time on 14 May. The "Gratis Comic Tag" is a joint event of comic book stores and publication houses in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. On 14 May, specially produced comic books will be handed out for free in numerous comic book stores. The spectrum ranges from Franco-Belgian adventures to U.S. superhero comics to German independent comics and many more. In various comic books, the publishing companies also announce their activities at the 17th Erlangen International Comic Salon 2016.
