Call for proposals “Max und Moritz“ Award 2014

In the context of the 16th Erlangen International Comic Salon – 19 to 22 June 2014 – the most important prize for graphic literature in the German-speaking countries will be awarded with the “Max und Moritz“ Award in Erlangen’s baroque theatre on Friday, 20 June 2014, 9 p. m. The prize, which is awarded since 1984 every two years by an independent jury of professionals, appointed by the city of Erlangen, played a decisive role in the 30 years for the recognition of comic art in the German-speaking countries. Publications released since April 2012 can be assigned with the “Max und Moritz“ Award 2014. The call for proposals “Max und Moritz“ Award 2014 was sent to publishing companies in the German-speaking countries.
The members of the jury 2014 are: Christian Gasser (author, academic Hochschule Luzern – Design & Kunst), Herbert Heinzelmann (journalist and media scholar, Nuremberg), Brigitte Helbling (journalist, member of Arbeitsstelle für Graphische Literatur der Universität Hamburg), Andreas C. Knigge (journalist and publicist, Hamburg), Isabel Kreitz (comic-strip artist, Hamburg), Lars von Törne (journalist, Berlin) and Bodo Birk (director Erlangen International Comic Salon).
