The definitions of and ways of dealing with otherness in a differentiated and globalised society have become central topics in the contemporary experience of the world, in contemporary literature and art.
Students of the department of German studies/comparative studies of the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg and of the Offenbach Academy of Art and Design have addressed this topic. They have brought together texts and images that deal with the topic of otherness and let them interact. The students’ works are being presented in the foyer of the Palace in Erlangen during the 14th Erlangen International Comic Salon.
